ABOUT US
WE ARE ADVOCATES
FOR WOMEN’S RIGHT AND THE
ALLEVIATION OF POVERTY IN AFRICA
Our Story
The Zainab Ahmed Foundation is a duly registered, Not-For-Profit organization established in January 2022. Women’s rights and poverty alleviation are at the core of our Foundation’s mandate and each of our proposed activities and programs is a response to achieving SDG 1; to end all forms of poverty in Africa by the year 2030. We recognize that poverty in the continent is not limited to income-based measures but rather encompasses access to social protection, basic services, and economic resources. Therefore we are poised toward proffering practical, sustainable, and multidimensional strategies for combating poverty.
Vision
To eradicate poverty and bridge the gender gap in Africa.
Mission
To equip women and youth in the continent and create opportunities for economic stability.
CORE VALUES
THE GUIDING PHILOSOPHY
THAT DRIVES OUR
ORGANISATION

Respect for Human Rights
We believe that all human beings are valuable and should be treated
with dignity and respect. They should be protected, educated, and empowered to lead meaningful lives.

Equity
We believe that no individual should be marginalized based on age or gender. All should be given equal opportunities for growth and impact while providing the enabling environment that allows people thrive regardless of age or gender and in accordance to their needs. We believe in equality of economic, educational, and workplace opportunities.

Innovation
We believe that the African narrative can change and we are at the forefront of that revolution. We believe in the principles of urgent action, resilience, and human resources development to create
the economically viable continent we envision.

Empowerment
We recognize the importance of building the capacity of women and youth to face the daunting economic and social challenges.
We are committed to a multi-sectoral approach to training, mentoring, and building the skills of these demographics.
